Bowdon Community Center
The Bowdon Community Center came about as an undertaking of the Bowdon Lions Club. They organized a fund drive throughout the community along with many fund-raising activities. The wood frame building is 40 x 70. It has a wood basement under the front third. Norman Rembolt, along with a lot of donated labor, built it in 1986. The center is used by a lot of organizations, and it is rented to many individuals. It is a building in which the community is very proud.

Bowdon Museum and Library
To help North Dakota celebrate its centennial in 1989, every city in the state was asked to complete some sort of project. Doris Fortney and June Jesse were nominated to head a committee in order to accomplish this, and their husbands were asked to help. When a museum and library were decided upon, the entire community pitched in to make it happen. A great many loans and donations of books and antiques came in, and the entire community pitched in to renovate the city hall. Cash donations from individuals, AAL, and Lutheran Brotherhood (now Thrivent), helped with expenses so a ramp and sidewalk could be installed. Adequate space was the only limiting factor once this project got underway.
